Fresh mulberries which ripe in the branches are dried under the Anatolian sun in hot summer months after they’re harvested. After the drying process finishes, mulberries are transferred to our production plant to be packaged following the stages of fumigation and cleaning. Processed and packaged dried mulberries are then prepared according to the requested package and grammage.
Mulberries contain an average of 80% of water. At the end of the drying process, 1 kilogram of dried mulberries is derived from about 5 kilograms of mulberries. During the drying process, the water within the product is vaporized and its extract is preserved. Mulberries’ nutritional values, in particular the level of carbohydrates, vitamins and proteins, are increased when dried.
